First of all, I would like to Thank for awesome effort of Will and all who has contributed for creation of training video's on adapter development. It does helped me to a great extent to start in this area.

I have doubt on adapter development. Asset is a mobile asset in the shop. We can add asset but I am not able to locate function to remove asset. I am looking for this functionality specially for cutting tools. This functionality will be helpful when we remove tool from CNC. This will be largely depend upon how we define scope of asset. If the scope is total shop then again tool has to be dismantle at some point. In that case also we need remove functionality.

Thanks and Regards,
Vaibhav

I second that! There are a lot of great resources submitted by members on this forum.

Someone else might be able to answer this question better and I may be wrong, but I believe that the cutting tool information would be static. So, when a new cutting tool is "added" to the assets list the asset is intended to be updated indefinitely. If the removed event is raised and the asset is physically replaced, then the asset information should be updated with new DataItems such as PartCount, SerialNumber, etc.
