I am working on an academic project for Industrial IoT. I need to build a prototype for CNC lathe machine communication with MTConnect. Are there any available Lathe machine simulators which can simulate like 10 lathe machine data once installed in a laptop?

SSB,

LinuxCNC has multiple lathe configurations that run simulation, and ROS on Github can be wired in as the Adapter side to LinuxCNC.

I work with the Sherline mill sim.

I have working models in Debian and Ubuntu and the documentation on the web is pretty good if you have additional questions.

I've been thinking for awhile about a software-only MTConnect simulator that includes a machine tool sim, MTConnect agent, and reporting tools for the sake of illustrating a real world implementation without the expense, difficulty, and production interruptions of an actual machine tool. Other projects have just taken precedence.

Have you already got something like this set up and running? If so, is there a Github project or something that I could contribute to?
