The MTConnect Institute had great success at IMTS 2012. Featured both in the IMTS Emerging Technology Center (ETC) and in severalexhibitor booths, MTConnect got quite a bit of buzz at the show. TheIMTS event itself was a major success and the MTConnect booth had over 500visitors.
The booth focused on the economic gain of monitoring manufacturing facilitiesand the various application solutions available to enable monitoring. Staffed by members of the MTConnect Institute from companies and organizationslike BlueSwarf, CCAT, dataZen Engineering, Indusoft, ITAMCO, LNS America,MacKintok, MAG, NCDMM, Scytec Consulting, Syscon International, SystemInsights, TechSolve, and US Army, the booth helped visitors understand thebenefits of monitoring a manufacturing facility. Equipment utilization - discovering untapped capacity Equipment efficiency - understanding hidden costs Sustainability - minimizing negative environmental impacts Remote monitoring - managing a plant from anywhere and at any time
Visitors of the MTConnect booth also saw the new MTConnect demo application,which can be found at IMTS.MTConnect.org. Consistent with the booth’s theme, this demo shows MTConnect data andlightweight utilization information for devices. Additionally, visitorslearned about this forum (MTConnectForum.com)where individuals can ask questions, provide comments, and learn from others.
